On March 11th, Japan stops. The great tsunami that hit Tōhoku coast is an indelible memory. Since then, in these places, many volunteers have plumbed and removed mountains of debris. The many objects found have been cleaned and cataloged in hopes they will return one day to their owners. Other than that, there have been gradually re-emerged geometries of floors once sheltered.
These images are 'floor scans' of what remain of Ōtsuchi, a little town of the Tohoku coast (Japan), one year after the great tsunami of 2011.
